it actually appears a lot smaller than it is, and from the front the headlights are really small, and even made me think it was a cx-3 at first

I just had one as a rental car in Texas. A giant boat of a car with more room than I would ever need...Felt like driving a bus with how big the damn wheel was.

Hated it...the AC was good though.

Crossovers are all starting to look the same, but that’s because the market is too crowded. I do really like all the new Mazdas' upright front grilles. It's very BMW-esque, in a good way.

Proportions are a funny subjective thing. My thought is the small lights make the grill look even bigger which makes the front look big and so on.

My wife saw one on the road and thought they had re-designed the CX-5 already. I like them though, they look good.
